1. Strain development
Strain development in synthetic biology helps tailor cell lines for biomanufacturing. This is currently done in plate assays and with pipetting robots, which imposes hard limits on scalability. We encapsulate cells, nutrients etc. in water-in-oil droplets, and thus can make current workflows 3-6x faster and >100x cheaper, with inline integration.
